This episode starts off with Kakashi going to the hidden rain village to give them a letter about the leaf and the sand having a joint chunin exam as the preparations are made for the exams team Asuma is having trouble with the exams because Shikamaru is already a chunin so Ino and Choji need to find a 3rd member so Ino asks Sakura to join them but she declines cause she thinks she would just be a burden on them
